It's February and love is in the air! Last week, Social Artist Shannon Weber joined us for a special Charlie Time. Perhaps you've seen Shannon's art around the city. She is famous for creating anonymous "I Love You" notes, in fact, her motto is "changing the world one love note at a time." We felt the love! Shannon read Eileen Spinelli's endearing book "Someone Loves You Mr. Hatch" which shares the story of how a love note can change a life. She also read Shel Silverstein's classic "The Giving Tree" about unconditional love. We also sang songs about love & friendship. Aside from these heartfelt activities, Shannon helped us decorate our Charlie's Corner tree with love notes written by our community. You can see these love notes throughout February. In fact, please stop by and write one yourself. We'll hang it in our tree! Finally, we capped things off with delicious sweetheart-shaped cookies from Noe Valley Bakery. What a wonderful love fest.
