Parent Workshop with Janet McBride, RD: Planting Seeds - Cultivating a Happy, Healthy Relationship with Food

Our adult relationship with food is rooted in our early eating experiences. This workshop will discuss how to cultivate a positive relationship with food beginning in infancy and throughout childhood. Topics will include how:

  • to change picky eaters and introduce new foods

  • to decrease power struggles over food

  • to diminish food cravings in children

  • to bring joy back to mealtime

  • food choices affect brain chemistry

  • eating differs with developmental stages

Janet McBride, RD is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating behavior, body image and disordered eating. Janet completed her postgraduate training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She lives in Noe Valley and has a San Francisco based private practice of 20 years helping families and individuals develop a positive relationship with healthy eating. Learn more at
